OUR
ABSORBING PAD

BONNET PAD
APPLICATION METHOD
Commercial/Residential
THE BONNET PAD APPLICATION METHOD can be used for both residential and commercial carpet cleaning. This application uses high absorbent microfiber or terry cloth cleaning pads to absorb a significant portion of the dirty soils found in the carpet. These pads also effectively scrub the fibers, releasing the stuck on soils, while agitating and activating the encapsulation cleaning solution.
THE BONNET PADS DON'T SCRUB THE CARPET FIBERS AS VIGOROUSLY as the scrubbing pads, which makes them great for residential carpet cleaning as these pads are much gentler on the more delicate fibers found in residential carpet.
RESIDENTIAL CARPETS HAVE MUCH TALLER FIBERS than commercial carpets, this means that there is a lot more surface area on these fibers for dirty soils to cling to that need to be released and removed. The absorbent pad helps ensure that we remove as much of the dirty soils from the fibers that we can, leaving behind the least amount possible to be crystallized by the encapsulation solution.
ONCE THE BULK OF THE SOILS ARE ABSORBED and separated from the carpet fibers, the remainder of the soils become suspended in the cleaning solution where they get encapsulated and then vacuumed out, leaving your carpets clean, dry and looking great!
THE BONNET PAD APPLICATION METHOD produces fantastic results for both commercial and residential carpets.

DIFFERENT METHODS
There are different application methods that we use with encapsulation carpet cleaning. These methods essentially complete the same task, but achieve their results in a slightly different way. Neither method is better than the other, rather they just have a different way of achieving similar results. The biggest difference between them is residential vs commercial carpet cleaning applications.

SCRUBBING PAD
APPLICATION METHOD
Commercial Only
THE SCRUBBING PAD APPLICATION METHOD is used for commercial carpet cleaning only. This application follows essentially the same process as the bonnet pad application, but with a scrubbing pad rather than an absorbent pad. These scrubbing pads are not meant to be used on residential carpets as commercial carpets are manufactured with a much tougher and shorter fiber than residential carpets are.
THE SCRUBBING PADS DON'T ABSORB DIRTY SOILS AS EFFECTIVELY as the bonnet pads do, but with commercial carpet there is ultimately much less surface area on the fibers for dirty soils to attach to and these scrubbing pads are extremely effective at separating the more dense stuck on soils typically found in commercial carpet.
ONCE THE SOILS ARE SEPARATED FROM THE FIBERS they become suspended in the cleaning solution where they get encapsulated and then vacuumed out.
THE SCRUBBING PAD APPLICATION METHOD produces extremely effective results for commercial carpets.

WHAT CAN'T WE CLEAN OR TREAT?

DAMAGE, WEAR, FIBER ORIENTATION, SHADOWS:
Dyes and food colouring, wood stains, bleach/peroxide, wear and tear, burns, shadows from light sources, shadows caused by low/high spots in the carpet, carpet waves, or the direction of carpet fibers. These "blemishes" can to the eye look like cleanable stains/soils on the carpet, but in most cases they are the results of carpet/upholstery damage, shadows, or fiber orientation and can't typically be resolved through a cleaning process. Some cleaning products may be found on the market that attempt to treat some of these dyes, food colouring and otherwise extremely difficult / problem spots, but these products usually contain high levels of chemicals that we don't carry or use amongst the lines of products we operate with.
SOME UPHOLSTERY:
We currently only offer upholstery cleaning for furniture that can be cleaned with a water-based cleaner. This means we don't currently offer upholstery cleaning for leather or suede or any other materials that can't be cleaned with water. If these materials are cleaned with a water based cleaner, then damage is very likely to occur to the furniture. For information regarding the fabric cleaning codes that are located on the tag of your furniture please click here: UPHOLSTERY

BED BUGS / COCKROACHES & OTHERS PESTS:
We currently do not offer Bed bug, cockroach, or any other pest cleaning or removal services for either upholstery or carpeting as encapsulation cleaning is not designed to eliminate bugs or pests.
FLOOD DAMAGE & RESTORATION:
We currently do not offer any type of carpet or upholstery restoration cleaning services at this time, including services for mold or flood damage.

SEVERE ROAD SALT REMOVAL:
We currently do not offer severe road salt removal services at this time.
BIO-HAZARD CLEANING:
We currently do not offer any services specifically treating issues such as blood or feces.

Encapsulation carpet & upholstery cleaning is extremely effective, safe, better for our environment and produces fantastic results all while keeping prices affordable.

-
Are We "Green Certified"?We are not officially a "green certified" company, but we do use environmentally preferred products and very minimal water compared to traditional hot water extraction carpet cleaning.
-
What Are "Environmentally Preferred" Products?*Environmentally preferable means products or services that have a reduced effect on human health and the environment when compared with competing products or services that serve the same purpose.
-
Where Does the Dirt Go?Unlike hot water extraction cleaning (which uses high amounts of water and an extraction machine to remove soils from the carpet) encapsulation cleaning scrubs the soils from the fibers of the carpet and encapsulates them within the polymers of the solution itself. Once the soils are encapsulated by the solution, normal passes of a vacuum cleaner remove the soils from the carpet.
-
How Long Does the Process Take? The application process of encapsulation cleaning (us doing the cleaning) is not a time-extensive process by any means, but the process of encapsulation itself, once it has been applied to the carpet, takes a full 24-hour period to complete. This encapsulation period doesn't require any special treatment (other than not vacuuming) and won't impede or negatively affect any of your regular daily routines. You can continue on with your day while the solution is simply hard at work going unnoticed in the background (carpet).
-
Will I Still See the Dirt During the 24-hour Period. No, you shouldn't be able to see the dirt that is encapsulated in the solution as this happens at a microscopic level. In some cases, if you do happen to see some crystallization from the encapsulation solution, it is nothing to worry about. This is perfectly normal and is how the solution is designed to work a the final process of a simple vacuum routine removes this from the carpet.
-
How Long Do I Have to Wait to Vacuum? It is very important not to vacuum any carpets or upholstery that have been serviced for a minimum of 24 hours after we have finished cleaning. Once 24 hours have passed since service, you can either vacuum immediately or wait until your normal vacuuming routine is scheduled. For best results, we highly recommend that you vacuum the serviced areas immediately after the 24-hour period in order to remove the encapsulated soils as soon as possible.
-
Are Any Stains Still Visible After? The encapsulation solution we use is an extremely powerful cleaner and can tackle almost anything you can find in a carpet. It is an extremely high end and effective carpet cleaning product, but all products do have their limitations as to what they are capable of. This being said, regardless of any method of carpet cleaning, all carpets and stains behave differently and currently there can't be a full guarantee that all stains will be completely removed. For more information regarding things we currently can't clean, refer to our "System" page on our website and look under "What Can't We Clean Or Treat?".
-
How Long Do I Have to Wait Before Walking on My Carpet or Sitting on My Furniture?Normal use of any serviced areas can resume immediately after they are dry.
-
How Long are Drying Times? For carpets, drying times are normally around 1 hour or less after we are finished cleaning, but for upholstery it may take longer as the foam/sponge under the materials do get slightly wet leading to longer dry times.
-
Do I Need to Vacuum Before the Service? We kindly ask that our commercial clients have their facilities vacuumed before service.
-
Hotels: How Long Before We Can Book Guests in Rooms That Have Been Serviced?Hotel rooms that have been serviced can be booked for guests to arrive on the same day as the cleaning, as long as the carpets are dry before the guest arrives. Drying times are approximately 1 hour or less after service. The best time for us to clean hotel rooms is after the previous guest has checked out and the rooms have been serviced by the cleaning staff.
-
Do I Need to Be Present on the Cleaning Site During the Cleaning? No, there is no requirement for our commercial clients to present on the cleaning site during our service. Many clients have security, keypad locks or staff that are available to let us in to complete the services while they are absent from the site. Some commercial clients prefer to pay us immediately if they are present and others simply receive an invoice after the service has been completed.
-
Do We Move Furniture?Due to personal injury and liability reasons, we do not move or relocate furniture. It is not required that all furniture or objects be removed from the areas needing service, as normally the areas under these objects don't require cleaning like the rest of the exposed carpeted areas, in this case, we would simply clean around these items of furniture. If, however, you would prefer that all the areas under the furniture are serviced as well, we would require that all objects or furniture that may obstruct the cleaning be removed before the service.
-
Can You Clean My Furniture?Yes! We currently offer upholstery cleaning, but only for fabrics that are cleanable with water based cleaners. The tag on your furniture should have a fabric cleaning code on it. Currently we can only clean "W" and "WS" code furniture fabrics.
-
Do I Need to Vacuum Before the Service? For residential clients, there is absolutely no requirement to vacuum before service. We have very efficient commercial vacuums with multiple stage filters that we will use to remove as much of the loose dry soils from the carpet as possible before we begin our encapsulation carpet cleaning process.
-
Do I Need to Be Present on the Cleaning Site During the Cleaning? No, there is no requirement to be present on the cleaning site during our service. Many clients have lockboxes they use, keypad locks or are available to let us in to complete the services while they are absent from the site. If you are absent from the cleaning site during the cleaning service, we require a 50% payment deposit before the service and can only accept payments via E-transfer, PayPal, or Square online payments. All other forms of payment are available with no deposits as long as you are present at the cleaning site during the time of cleaning.
-
Are Monetary Deposits Required? The only deposits we require for residential clients are if the client is not present on the cleaning site during the time of cleaning. If the client is absent from the cleaning site during the cleaning service, we require a 50% payment deposit before the service and can only accept payments via E-transfer, PayPal, or Square Online Payments. All other forms of payment are available with no deposits as long as the client is present on the cleaning site during the time of cleaning.
-
What If I Have Bed Bugs or Cockroaches?Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer our services on furniture or carpets currently dealing with pest issues, as our system is not designed to kill or treat pest problems. Please inspect your furniture or carpet for bed bugs, cockroaches, or other pests prior to service.
-
Do We Move Furniture?Due to personal injury and liability reasons, we do not move or relocate furniture. It is not required that all furniture be removed from the areas needing service, such as a dresser, night stand or bed in a bedroom, as normally, these areas just collect dust (or missing socks) underneath and don't require cleaning like the rest of the exposed carpeted areas. In this case, we would simply clean around these items of furniture. If, however, you would prefer that all the areas under the furniture are serviced as well, we would require that all objects or furniture that may obstruct the cleaning be removed before the service.
